We’re excited to welcome our newest sales executive, Nelson B. Solares, to the team!
Nelson hails from right here in the Lone Star state, but it’s a good thing he likes to travel as he’ll be constantly on the road cultivating relationships with both dealers and end-users, representing the CR brand. His nearly decade of experience in the AV industry will allow him to effectively communicate how our solutions offer superior performance and better value compared to our market competitors.

Prior to joining Contemporary Research, Nelson served as territory manager at EDA PRO AV in Dallas, where he was responsible for client sales and service over four states. He inherited a territory historically plagued with customer service issues, but his hard work resulted in a doubling of sales and greatly improved client support ratings. Nelson also previously worked as a realtor for Keller Williams where he was honored with the Top Sales Award. We’re thrilled he’ll be putting his sales prowess to work for CR, creating new partnerships and fostering existing ones.
Nelson’s passion for AV goes beyond his career as he brings audio-video solutions to church groups and community rallies in his spare time. In the past, he supervised the production of the GLAD Youth Convention, a 4-day event that saw over 6,000 people in attendance each day. Both professionally and recreationally, Nelson has managed technical crews, and overseen troubleshooting, logistics, recruiting, strategy and sales efforts. And as if those skills weren’t impressive enough, Nelson is also fluent in Spanish, giving him the ability to make even more connections with our valued customers.
We’re fortunate to add a new team member who has an impressive track record of meeting aggressive sales goals, and is an all-around nice guy – not to mention, a pretty sharp dresser. With his drive, knowledge, and attention to detail, we’re confident Nelson will be an integral part of strengthening Contemporary Research and the local economy.
